Tremble
I talk a lot about how much I value the question what do you want?
I believe so deeply that when you relentlessly ask this question and orient life around its answer that the result is anything but selfish. This call and response is the path to equilibrium, to bringing balance between what your insides ache for and what you long to see happen in the world.
It is thrilling. It is also excruciating.
The word dream doesn’t speak to pain or difficulty or heartache but it is there — braided in.
The path to what you truly want, the intersection between your story and the world’s need, there is oh so much power there. But it can feel big and unwieldy and so frighteningly real that it makes you shake.
Feel the tremble. Hold your ground. Ask and then allow it to happen. It’s okay to wobble. You don’t have to conceal your shaky knees to be the one who ushers in the thing we need.
